Job Description

This role is responsible for providing project controls support to program and project leadership in one or more of the areas of planning and scheduling, cost, estimating, and change management/trends across a variety of programs/projects. This role documents and captures the project plan developed by program/project leadership, monitors and measures performance against the plan, and reports on key data metrics back to program/project leadership.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, without close supervision and some latitude for independent judgment.
  • Based on assigned project, could lead estimate deliverables to clients.
  • Based on assigned project, could review estimate work products and supporting documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
  • Provide project controls support to project teams.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring accurate timelines and resource allocation.
  • Support program/project leadership in collecting progress and performance updates and updating schedules to reflect actual progress and changes.
  • Track and monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts for assigned program/projects.
  • Prepare cost reports and financial analyses.
  • Help identify project risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain risk registers and ensure timely updates.
  • Create and distribute project status reports and performance dashboards to program/project leadership.
  • Support the development of project metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track progress and performance.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, project management, or related field is required.
  • Level III: Typically, five plus years' experience in project management or related industry experience.
  • Level IV: Typically, ten plus years' experience in project management or related industry experience.
  • Experience utilizing industry-known best practices in at least one of the areas below:
    • Planning and scheduling
    • Cost management
    • Estimating
    • Risk Management
    • Project Performance Reporting
  • Experience using project management software applications.
  • Advanced software skills using on screen takeoff and estimating tools.
  • Experience writing the basis of estimate documents.
  • Knowledge of several construction and project disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of engineering documents and derive quantities from them.
  • Basic software application skills (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel).

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD

Work Site Expectations: 5 days in office
Travel Expectations: 5% (as needed for project assignment)
Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday

Compensation

Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:

LIII: $69,450 - $115,750 LIV: $79,875 - $133,125
