Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial mechanical projects throughout Western Massachusetts. This position is ideal for a motivated construction professional with experience managing HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects from preconstruction through final closeout.


Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical construction projects from planning through completion
  • Oversee HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and process-piping scopes
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
  • Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Manage equipment and material procurement to maintain project schedules
  • Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and overall profitability
  • Lead project meetings and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with field leadership to resolve scheduling, design, and constructability issues
  • Ensure work complies with project requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Manage commissioning, punch-list completion, turnover, and closeout documentation


Qualifications

  • At least five years of mechanical construction or project management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
  • Experience managing projects for a mechanical contractor
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, change-order management, and cost control
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Mechanical field or trade experience is highly valued
