This role focuses on layout, welding, and repair of pipe, structural plate, and tubular components built to spec and blueprint. The shop supports equipment used across commercial and government-affiliated job sites, giving the right candidate steady, varied production work. Assignments are project-based and may continue based on performance and contract demand, with the potential for long-term placement or permanent hire with select clients.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lay out weld joints and fabrication sequences from blueprints, diagrams, and work orders for pipe, structural plate, and tubular components
  • Weld, install, test, and repair pipe and structural assemblies to specification using appropriate methods for the base material

  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, diagrams, and work orders
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation to the shop location
  • Must be able to pass a background check, as work may occasionally require access to secured or government-affiliated sites
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision once assigned a task

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience fabricating or repairing heavy equipment or crane components
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Rigging or basic crane operation familiarity
  • Experience with CNC or plasma cutting equipment

Additional Information

Duties include occasional time in an adjoining equipment yard in addition to shop work. Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting, and working from ladders or platforms for extended periods. Steel-toed boots and PPE are required in accordance with site safety policies. Work schedules may include overtime based on workload.
