Van Build Technician Electrical Systems
Contract Fayetteville, AR
Compensation: Project-based (equivalent up to ~$35$45/hour depending on project scope)
About the Role
OZK Vans is identifying skilled technicians to support upcoming custom camper van builds. This is a project-based independent contractor opportunity focused on electrical and mechanical system installation.
We are actively building a bench of qualified contractors for future projects as our build schedule expands.
Scope of Work
  • Install 12V electrical systems and wiring.
  • Install solar panels, batteries, and power systems.
  • Install lighting, fans, and electrical accessories.
  • Assist with plumbing and mechanical systems as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust systems to meet build specifications.
What Were Looking For
  • Hands-on electrical or mechanical installation experience.
  • Ability to read diagrams, plans, and layouts.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Personal tools preferred.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation, including hands-on technical and physical build tasks.
Work Structure
This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor (1099) relationship. Contractors operate independently and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
Work is offered based on project availability. Contractors may accept or decline individual assignments.
Interview Process
Our interview process is designed to help us get to know potential team members ahead of future project opportunities.
Selected candidates may participate in:
  • Initial phone conversation
  • In-person shop visit or meeting with our build team
Because we are building a bench, there may be a gap between interviews and project availability.
Hiring Process
Applications may be retained for future project opportunities based on business needs.
Engagement may be contingent upon completion of a background check, where permitted by applicable law.
Job duties, responsibilities, and requirements may be subject to change based on business needs.
