Position Summary
St. Francis of Assisi School seeks a dynamic and faith-centered full-time 3rd Grade Teacher.
The teacher is responsible for providing standards-based instruction across all core subject areas,
including Religion, while fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, student-centered, and committed to integrating Catholic
values into all aspects of teaching and learning.






Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in all core subjects, including
Religion
- Foster a positive classroom environment that supports academic, social-emotional, and
spiritual growth
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and monitor student
progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student learning and progress
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in a Professional Learning Community (PLC)
- Integrate technology to enhance student learning
- Support student participation in prayer, liturgies, and school-wide activities
- Supervise students and participate in school events as assigned
- Uphold school and Archdiocesan policies and expectations
- Model Catholic values in all interactions
 
















Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of Common Core State Standards and instructional best practices
- Understanding of elementary student development, particularly at the 3rd grade level
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to use assessment data to inform instruction
- Proficiency with educational technology tools
Preferred:
- Practicing Catholic committed to the mission of Catholic education
- Experience in Catholic or faith-based education
- Experience with differentiated instruction and project-based learning
- Experience or awareness of Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $55,819 $105,211 Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
