We’re seeking a Architectural Project Manager with experience managing complex projects to support the local Commercial, Civic, and Education market. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing all activities on assigned projects across all phases, from initiation through construction administration and closeout. The PM serves as the primary advocate and point of contact for the client and is accountable for overall project performance including quality, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of projects across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations
  • Develop and execute Project Strategic Plans aligned with project goals and market sector objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading communication, meetings, and coordination with stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams
  • Manage project financial performance, including budgets, schedules, forecasts, and consultant coordination
  • Ensure adherence to firm QA/QC standards and project execution protocols across all phases of the project
  • Monitor project progress, staffing, and workload, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project performance
  • Coordinate with internal teams and leadership to align resources, resolve issues, and support successful project delivery

Leadership

  • Lead by example and model behavior to reinforce and exemplify the FSB Guiding Principles
  • Support delivery of high-quality work on time and within budget
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships that support long-term partnerships and repeat work
  • Coach and mentor team members in communication, problem solving, and professional development
  • Communicate performance, workload, or delivery concerns to leadership to support accountability and timely resolution

Marketing and Business Development

  • Support proposal development, interviews, and client presentations
  • Prepare scopes, fees, and schedules in collaboration with Market Sector leadership
  • Support negotiation of scope and fees with clients
  • Contribute to securing repeat work through strong client service and project delivery

Project Role

  • Serve as the primary or supporting point of contact for the client depending on project size and complexity
  • Lead project communication and coordination with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Drive project planning efforts by coordinating task assignments, staffing, and deliverables in collaboration with the Project Team Leader
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve project issues, including scope, schedule, and fee changes
  • Lead or support formal change management processes, including evaluation of impacts to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain strong client relationships during and after project completion

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings, specifications, and scope documents

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field
  • Licensed Architect or Licensed Engineer (PE) required; PMP preferred
  • Project management experience on complex projects preferred
