Position Overview:

We're seeking an experienced and self-driven Project Engineer who will serve as a key member of the KLa team by supporting all post contract activities from Engineering Submittal preparation to system start-up. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for various tasks pertaining to the design, fabrication and shipment of our products. Occasional travel to visit clients, their engineers and project sites may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and/or review engineering drawings and sub-vendor documentation for use in fulfilling customer Purchase Orders.
  • Integrate these drawings and other documentation into producing Engineering Submittals and Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Review completed project submittal and IOM packages for accuracy and consistency.
  • Implement systems to streamline repetitive tasks and elevate and maintain a consistent, high-quality, highly productive workflow.
  • Interface with consulting engineers, contractors, and outside vendors.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup and testing of new equipment.
  • Assist in analyzing and reporting of the testing results.
  • Assist with organizing, controlling and packaging inventory components for shipment to our global manufacturing partners.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering plus equivalent years of experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment preferred.
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics.
  • An understanding of centrifugal pumps and air blower packages is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience reading engineering plans and specifications.
  • High level of software proficiency including MS Excel, Word, etc.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • High attention to detail.
