Job description

Local company seeking an experienced tool and die maker with on-site customer service experience. Must be a team player with 5 years of experience with progressive stamping dies, preferable fin stamping dies (HVAC).

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform and assist with sharpening, diagnosis, repair, and changeover of stamping dies both in house and at customer locations.
  • Inspect parts and tooling to determine if they are in accordance with prints/work orders.
  • Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, and jigs.

Requirements/skills:

  • Ability to read micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of tool room equipment (i.e. forklift, lathes, drill presses, mills, grinders, etc.)
  • Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to define problems, troubleshoot, and draw valid conclusions.

Education:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of Tool and Die Apprenticeship Training

Preferred:

  • Journeymanโ€™s Card
  • Post high school training/Associates Degree
  • Seven years of tool and die experience

This is a full time, 1st shift, position with a flexible schedule. Some second shift may be required while at customer locations to work around manufacturing schedules. Travel required within the US, Canada, and Mexico.
