Ironworkers -  Fremont, Nebraska

$23-$32/hour DOE + Overtime Opportunities Available

Gleeson is hiring experienced Ironworkers (Millwright) for a large-scale food processing facility expansion at Wholestone Farms in Fremont, Nebraska.

This is not a typical structural steel project. This work includes miscellaneous steel installations, equipment-support steel, rail systems, catwalks, handrails, and steel components that support refrigeration and food-processing operations. Candidates with ironworker, millwright, rigging, or industrial installation experience are encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

Installation of miscellaneous steel and equipment support systems
Carcass rail support steel and rail system components
Catwalks, handrails, platforms, and access systems
Galvanized steel beams, bracing, and hanger supports
Refrigeration equipment support structures
Coordination with concrete, refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical trades

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and installation plans
Install and align steel supports, platforms, rails, and miscellaneous steel components
Bolt, weld, rig, and secure steel components to specification
Assist with installation of equipment support systems and rail infrastructure
Work safely around active construction and industrial environments
Ensure all work meets alignment, elevation, and quality requirements
Maintain a safe jobsite and follow all safety procedures
Assist with other field activities as needed to support project progress

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist with other construction activities when steel work is limited
Experience with industrial construction, steel erection, equipment installation, or millwright-type work
Ability to work at heights and safely handle steel components
Strong understanding of rigging, signaling, and load control
Ability to read plans and work with minimal supervision
Individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and safety

REQUIREMENTS

Prior ironworker, millwright, or industrial steel installation experience preferred
Welding experience
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Must follow all jobsite safety requirements
Pre-employment drug screen and physical required
