Role Summary
WPP Enterprise Solutions is seeking an Account Director to support the Ford Pro digital experience program, a dedicated workstream focused on the ongoing evolution, optimization, and strategic development of Ford Pro's web presence. This role sits within the broader Ford Pro Digital Experience & Support engagement and will work closely with the Ford Pro Business Lead, Program Director, and cross-functional creative, strategy, experience, and technical teams to ensure day-to-day delivery runs smoothly and Ford Pro's business objectives are met.
This is a hands-on account director role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and can manage multiple concurrent workstreams - including ongoing web support, site optimization, and strategic planning - while maintaining strong client relationships and internal team coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable moving between tactical execution and client-facing communication.
Reporting Note: This role will report into the Executive Director of Digital within WPP Enterprise Solutions for work on Ford and will be accountable to the Ford Pro WPP Enterprise Solutions Business Lead for day-to-day account priorities, deliverables, and client relationship management.
The Account Director will play a critical role in ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables stay on track across all active Ford Pro workstreams.
What you'll do:
Account & Project Coordination
  • Support day-to-day management of the Ford Pro digital experience account, ensuring deliverables are tracked, timelines are met, and internal teams have what they need to execute.
  • Coordinate across creative, strategy, UX/UI, technical, and analytics teams to keep workstreams moving and aligned to scope.
  • Maintain clear visibility into active projects, priorities, and deadlines across the full scope of Ford Pro work.
  • Help manage intake of new requests, ensuring they are appropriately scoped, prioritized, and routed to the right team members.
  • Support the preparation of status reports, timelines, meeting agendas, and recaps for internal and client-facing meetings.
  • Track deliverables against the agreed Scope & Workstreams, flagging risks, delays, or scope creep early.

Client Communication & Relationship Support
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for Ford Pro stakeholders on tactical questions, status updates, and deliverable coordination.
  • Support the Ford Pro Business Lead and Program Director in preparing for client meetings, workshops, and strategic reviews.
  • Build strong working relationships with Ford Pro marketing, digital, and web stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and responsiveness.
  • Help ensure client questions, feedback, and requests are addressed promptly and routed to the appropriate internal owner.

Workstream Support: Ford Pro Web Support
  • Support delivery across the core web support workstreams, including strategic and technical consulting, digital marketing support, UX/UI design, creative direction, and content production.
  • Coordinate with Program Director, Experience Strategist, CRM Strategy Director, UX Strategy Director, and Creative Directors to ensure work is progressing against plan.
  • Help manage site experience deliverables, campaign landing pages, content updates, and optimization initiatives.
  • Track budgets and staffing allocations against the general Ford Pro web scope.

Workstream Support: Strategic Planning & Roadmap
  • Support the Ford Pro Business Lead and Strategy Director in coordinating deliverables tied to Ford Pro's future-state strategic vision, roadmap development, and analytics/insights workstreams.
  • Help organize and track outputs from discovery, strategic planning, and roadmap-related workstreams.
  • Coordinate logistics for strategic sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews as needed.
  • Support documentation, synthesis, and follow-up on strategic recommendations and decisions.

Financial & Operational Support
  • Assist in tracking program budgets, staffing plans, and monthly resourcing against the SOW.
  • Support accurate and timely reporting on scope, spend, and utilization across workstreams.
  • Flag any scope changes or out-of-scope requests to the Ford Pro Business Lead/Program Director for review and commercial discussion.
  • Support invoicing, resourcing documentation, and administrative account operations as needed.

Cross-Team Coordination
  • Act as a connective point between creative, strategy, technical, and analytics teams to ensure consistent communication and shared understanding of priorities.
  • Help ensure staffing plan roles (Program Director, Experience Strategist, Creative Directors, UX/CRM Strategy, Copywriter, Web Developers, etc.) are aligned and working efficiently together.
  • Support onboarding of new team members or partners joining the account.
  • Escalate resourcing, scope, or timeline risks to leadership promptly.

What you'll need:
  • 8-10+ years of account management, project management, or client services experience, ideally within a digital agency, marketing, or web development environment.
  • Experience supporting web/digital experience programs, including site builds, optimization, UX/UI, and content workstreams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting status updates and coordinating across teams.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (creative, strategy, UX, development, analytics).
  • Familiarity with agency financial processes, including budget tracking, staffing plans, and scope management.
  • Automotive or Ford experience is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed client environment with multiple concurrent deliverables.

Competencies
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
  • Proactive communicator who can manage up, across, and with the client.
  • Comfortable balancing tactical execution with visibility into broader strategic context.
  • Collaborative team player who can work across disciplines and personalities.
  • Calm under pressure with strong prioritization instincts.
  • Client-first mindset with a service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in ambiguous or fast-changing situations.
