We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher to join our team. The GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Associate Teacher will support the educational development and social emotional growth of preschool-aged children in a learning environment that promotes engagement, exploration, and discovery. The Associate Teacher will work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to implement the curriculum, manage classroom activities, and assist in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
  • Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans that align with the GSRP curriculum frameworks.
  • Facilitate small group and one-on-one instruction to reinforce skills and concepts taught in the classroom.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the Lead Teacher regarding individual student needs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing assessment of student development and learning through observation and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing reports and maintaining records as needed for student assessments and curricula.
  • Support behavioral management strategies and assist in resolving conflicts as they arise among students.
  • Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment by organizing materials and resources effectively.
  • Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff members to promote team cohesion and effective collaboration.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff
  • Regular and predictable attendance

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Understanding of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and the GSRP framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities
  • Experience in a preschool or early childhood setting
  • Strong understanding of child development and the principles of early childhood education
