Operational Engineer


Job Summary

We are seeking an Operational Engineer to provide technical and application support across a range of engineered product lines. This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Project Management teams to deliver customized solutions, support project execution, and ensure high-quality outcomes for customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Size and specify custom-engineered products for a variety of applications
  • Apply engineering principles to analyze requirements and design tailored solutions
  • Serve as the technical lead on assigned projects
  • Generate sales and fabrication drawings, and develop cost estimates for specialized product quotes
  • Provide fabrication and production support throughout project lifecycles
  • Perform installation support and troubleshooting for field service applications
  • Develop tools and resources to improve engineering team efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Project Management teams
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Application Engineering and/or Project Engineering
  • Experience in catalyst and/or silencer design strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling; SolidWorks experience highly desired
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in time management, organization, and meeting project deadlines
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative, practical solutions
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (Syspro preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
