Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Engineering, Sciences or a related field
  • Previous experience in supervision or in a leadership role required
  • Superior communication skills and customer service skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • A valid Alberta Class 5 (non-GDL) driver's license with a clean abstract is considered an asset
  • Some technical skills are considered an asset
  • Background in outreach is considered an asset.

  • Initiates, implements and directs development of the program's curriculum, including courses, camps, presentations and workshops for over 10,000 participants each year
  • Conceives, develops and implements the necessary program delivery structure, including the profiles for all instructing personnel, recruitment and retention strategies and training and quality control
  • Is in charge of recruiting over 65 summer instructors to run programs in Edmonton, throughout Alberta, Northern British Columbia and the Northwest Territories
  • Works with partners to develop Classroom Kits to be created, tested, manufactured and distributed to students in Western Canada
