About This Role...
The Engineering Services team is looking for a summer intern who enjoys working with data in Excel and other programs! This role will involve cross-functional collaboration with other engineering departments, as well as our production areas.
Key Projects and Tasks
  • Data Analysis and Management - Work in Excel and ERP/PLM systems to manipulate and analyze data. Apply functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, ISNUMBER, pivot tables, simple formulas, and other tools as needed to support processes.
  • Instructional Content Creation and Development - Create, update, and maintain documentation and work instructions across departments. Make sure new and existing materials are clear, concise, and up to date.
  • Collaboration - Partner with Engineering and Production teams to support ongoing projects. Participate in team meetings to support departments as needed.

  • Participate in 10-12 weeks of our immersive internship program,
  • Experience the Flow of Flexco - weekly meetings with various departments across the business to understand the importance of their role and function within the organization,
  • Join monthly coffee chats with members of our Senior Leadership Team, hearing about their educational paths, career journeys, and gaining advice and wisdom,
  • Take part in monthly workshops on resume writing, LinkedIn networking, interview do's and don'ts, presentation skills, and Yellow Belt training,
  • And showcase what you've learned with a capstone presentation at the end of the summer - highlight a large project/multiple projects you've worked on and share your experiences with Flexco's values.

Requirements
  1. Must be 18 or older due to federal regulations/OSHA standards
  2. Ability to work 100% onsite in our Downers Grove office
    1. Full-Time: 6:00am - 2:30pm OR 7:00am - 3:30pm
    2. Part-Time: 4 days per week, 6 hours per day (between 6:00am - 2:30pm)
  3. Currently enrolled in college/university with Fall 2026 registration confirmed
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Qualifications
  • Junior or higher preferred
  • Experience with data entry
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a similar field
