The Transportation Business Unit at DEA is currently seeking a Bridge Engineering Intern for our Boise, ID office to provide engineering support to new and existing bridge engineering projects. This job will primarily consist of assisting professional engineers and project managers in the Bridge Department with a wide range of tasks pertaining to planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance activities both in the office and in the field.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting engineers, project managers and designers with all aspects of projects; project set-up, drafting, design, project coordination/organization, etc.
  • Internal coordination between departments and design teams
  • Supporting other groups with design or inspection tasks as necessary
  • Assisting with project and team meetings
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be in the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 2+ years of completed course work
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, heavy emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Experience with MicroStation is favored but not required
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team-oriented environment
