Summary
As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing operations run safely and efficiently by diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, maintaining essential equipment, and proactively preventing breakdowns. Your work directly supports production reliability by maintaining and improving electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation within the plant.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver reliable maintenance support for electrical and electronic equipment used in heat shrink tubing manufacturing processes.
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (up to 600V) to sustain plant operations.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, test, calibrate, configure, and maintain instrumentation and electrical/electronic systems to minimize downtime.
  • Execute preventative maintenance inspections and complete repairs aligned with CMMS plans.
  • Accurately document maintenance work and updates in CMMS-generated work orders.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, lockout procedures, and OSHA requirements while performing all tasks.
  • Support and participate in Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) initiatives to drive an incident- and injury-free workplace.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner while maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Continuously build technical expertise through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and training to new or junior employees to promote safe, efficient, and quality-driven performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold 5S standards to maintain organized and efficient work areas.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management to support plant operations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification preferred.
  • PLC Programming Certificate of Qualification preferred.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, drive controllers, HMI systems, and programming software.
  • Strong ability to identify technical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Mechanical aptitude, including experience using machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive hand movements, and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
