Civil Engineering - Assistant Project Manager

Overview

As a Civil Engineering Assistant Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Boston, MA offices, you will work with project teams to create civil engineering site development designs, develop permitting and construction plans, and prepare municipal zoning and land development applications for our private and public sector clients. From commercial retail expansions and modifications, to major mixed-use developments and public parks, you'll take part in designing site layouts, site grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, stormwater management facilities, and site utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you'll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.

You will work closely with our Project Managers and Principals in our civil/site practice to plan and execute projects, communicate with clients, develop new client opportunities, and grow your career. You'll coordinate with other practices (including geotechnical engineering, environmental, ecological, and other practices) to address project-specific needs. You will also mentor junior staff on technical items and have the opportunity to attend industry organization and client meetings.

The pay range for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000. The hiring range posted is a good faith estimate of what Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. may reasonably offer for the role as outlined. Factors such as additional education and/or experience may influence the actual offering.

Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; Masters degree preferred
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering Licesne (P.E.) preferred
  • Proficiency in computer modeling software, including: AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Storm Sewers
  • Ability and desire to mentor junior staff
