Job description

SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing plumbing repairs - including installation of new equipment and systems, mechanical repairs - including the rebuilding of pumps and motors and perform carpentry repairs on the property.

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and policies and procedures.
  • Replacement of electrical switches, outlets, ballasts, motor starters, operational controls, transformer operations of 480 volt 3 phase installations.
  • Clear drains by use of power augers and jetters.
  • Assist all other engineering associates in performing the engineering function
  • Conduct Resort maintenance inspections and completing approve documentation.
  • Perform maintenance walk-thru as directed
  • Check, monitor, and make adjustments on water features for correct PH and ORP levels.
  • Check and monitor pressure differential for backwashing sand filters.
  • Check, monitor, and make adjustments for the correct chlorine levels.
  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company.
  • Assist the Resort Construction Maintenance department as needed (Gaming Badge Required).
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:
21 years of age or above.
Non - Gaming property: Due to assist Resort Construction Maintenance department as need. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required. Three (3) years in construction experience the mechanical or electrical trades or equivalent is required. Water quality knowledge - Certified Pool Operator or AFO certified is required. - Must pass test within 6 months of hire date for certification.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid Driver's License and good driving record - one or less moving violation within a 12 month period. Forklift certified by the Resort. Plumbing system operations and repair knowledge is required. Carpentry skills and repair knowledge is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: able to work within a variety of climates and outdoors under extreme conditions. Safely lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds on occasions as well as walk and stand 90% of assigned shift. Able to work off of ladders, scaffolds, or lifts up to 100 feet in height and work in confined spaces. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift. Exposed to hazardous chemicals. Use of personal Protective Equipment such as masks, gloves, shoes, etc, may be required at times. May require working out of doors in inclement weather, and extreme hot or cold conditions.

This position is required to work in outside weather conditions and may perform responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces as well as exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and extreme weather/heat.
