Job description

The Information Technology department has an immediate opening for a Programmer/Systems Analyst. The successful candidate will offer support to our Production team and our business unit for a wide variety of critical software applications. The Programmer/Systems Analyst will also develop custom scripts and applications based on our project priority list, test applications regularly, create software patches for older platforms and perform routine maintenance on all our legacy systems

Scope and Responsabilities 

• Collaborate with the development team and other IT staff to set specifications for new applications.

• Interact with end users to verify detailed specifications.

• Understand client requirements and how they translate to new application features.

• Participate in detailed programming development and testing of interfaces according to the specifications.

• Write high-quality code to program complete applications on schedule.

• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.

• Plan and participate in the application deployment. Work closely with the Service Desk to coordinate installation of new applications, if needed.

• Participate in the application post-implementation phase to ensure the application meet the business requirements. Stay on track of the application lifecycle to ensure necessary updates are completed on time.

• Provide assists for on-going application maintenance. Find solutions to security threats, viruses, or errors that might hinder the performance of applications.

• Provide suggestions to supervisor to improve system/application performance.

• Develop technical documentation.

• Evaluate operational changes that result from system implementation, provide such feedback to supervisor for review.

• Carry out regular security and performance checks.

Minimum Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Understanding of software design and programming principles
• Project management skills.
• Operational and technical experience with development tools include but not limited to VB.NET; C#; Web Services, REST API, Angular (or similar Java script frameworks), Visual Studio (Current and Previous Versions), Python, LINQ, Regular Expressions, XML, JSON and other tools applicable. 
• Strong understanding of Microsoft DevOps framework; Content Versioning; Agile methodology.
• Strong experience with Database design, including Microsoft SQL Server database platform (latest version) with a focus on T-SQL.
• Strong experience with SSIS.
• Analytical ability to evaluate and construct accurate and efficient programming solution to business problems.
• Experience with Salesforce, AI is a plus.
• Knowledge of HealthCare industry is a plus.
