Job description

Our Opportunity:


The Programming Analyst is responsible for building and deploying custom software components to enhance member experience. Solutions built in this role will encompass multiple technology disciplines and tools and follow modern security best practices. This position fulfills the requirements provided by Business Analysts and Senior programmers. They will work closely with project stakeholders, consistently learn new approaches to complex problems, and build a foundation of good design and coding practices.


What You'll Do in This Role:

  • Creates, designs and implements custom programming in Symitar software, including creating or modifying reports, on-demand File Maintenance (FM) scripts, mass FM programs and developing batch jobs for processing and confirm accuracy.
  • Supports and consults with IT Team Members and Business Analysts to resolve issues involving Symitar, including troubleshooting, observing, and providing educational instructions. Provides regular status updates for project and tasks assigned.
  • Stays up to date on recent enhancements to the Symitar software, including researching ways to improve and customize the system to enhance the Member and Team Member experience. Researches possible options, designs and programs efficient solutions.
  • Documents created code in accordance with company standards.
  • Works within all CU policies and operating procedures to include, but not limited to CCF’s Security, Bank Secrecy Act, the Office of Foreign Asset Control, Red Flag, and the Patriot Act.
  • Assists with periodic testing and implementation of contingency plans to ensure availability of applications in case of system failure.


What You'll Bring To CCF:

  • Six months to Two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
  • Minimum 1-year computer programming experience (PL/I, Java, or similar script programming), able to perform at an intermediate level.
  • 6 months HTML experience and able to perform at a basic level.
  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required.
  • In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with Members, Team Members of all levels, and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
  • Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
  • Will be required to work outside of scheduled hours/traditional banking hours to respond to technology issues, complete technology upgrades, conversions, installations, and technology emergencies; ability to be on-call 24 hours a day.
  • Intermediate knowledge of structured query languages and general coding concepts.
  • Basic working knowledge of Database systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be Bonded.
