Role Overview
Beehive Industries is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open position for a Senior Machinist/Programmer. This position is intended for a self-driven professional looking to expand their abilities to include machining consumable goods for the DMLS process as well as metal 3D printed components.
What You'll Do...
  • Setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment
  • Develop machining fixtures for complex aerospace components
  • Program CNC equipment on-line and off-line
  • Quote machining work for internal and external customers
  • Maintain accurate and legible records of production work and results
  • Uphold a high degree of a work-area cleanliness (daily and weekly) and organization
  • Explore opportunities to add value to the organization
  • Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on various shop equipment
  • Understand and identify EH&S hazards, risks and controls of the machine shop operations and activities at the site
  • Ensure full compliance with EHS and Quality requirements
  • Allocate tooling to be ordered for jobs

You have...
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience in turbo machinery components
  • Experience machining castings, forging or 3D printed hardware an asset using 5 axis CNC, and EDM machines
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in SolidCAM, MasterCam or NX PowerMill an asset
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (2 years programming experience)
  • Strong technical skills in GD&T & blueprints
  • Strong experience with turning/lathes
  • Some experience working with Heat Resistant Super Alloys (Nickel Alloys)
  • Experience with OKUMA and Makino multi axis CNC equipment preferred
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, communication and teamwork skills
  • Exposure to working within a facility quality systems and codes (ex. ISO 9001, AS9100)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
