DC Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with project management experience to join our growing team. This is a full-time opportunity working from our Meridian, Idaho office.


Position Overview

As a senior member of our Electrical Engineering team, you will play a dual role—leading electrical design efforts while also managing projects from concept through completion. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in both technical and leadership capacities, with a passion for delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing project execution, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that designs meet technical, budgetary, and schedule requirements.


Job Duties:

Engineering & Technical Leadership:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution and power systems
  • Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and system modeling
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Review and approve project deliverables, drawings, and specifications
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and designers

Project Management:

  • Manage projects from initiation through completion, including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication
  • Coordinate with internal and external project teams across multiple disciplines
  • Develop project plans, track progress, and proactively address risks or challenges
  • Support proposal development, including scope definition, scheduling, and cost estimating

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • EIT required; PE license strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant industrial or consulting electrical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design, power distribution, and power systems
  • Proven ability to lead projects or project tasks
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and systems
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or consulting engineering environments
  • Previous project management or project lead experience
