Description
The Conrad Company, a fast growing, award-winning family-owned business located in York, PA is looking for a Lead Programmer to work at our Capitol Tool facility in New Cumberland, PA. For over 65 years, Capitol Tool has helped people in manufacturing and construction with precision machined parts.
Responsibilities
  • Writes programs for CNC mill using Mastercam software.
    • Programs need to be usable by setup team.
    • Lead Programmer to setup and run as needed, but primary focus is programming.
    • Machinery on hand includes two Okuma horizontal mills, one Okuma vertical mill with a trunnion, a HAAS VF-2, and a HAAS DT-1.
  • When setting up, confirms first piece is in spec before releasing job to run.
  • Identifies necessary tooling and fixturing for jobs and works with Purchasing to procure items in time for production runs.
  • Completes job-specific paperwork.
  • Complies with all ISO requirements.
  • When running parts:
    • Audits materials list for accuracy and proper material staging.
    • Operates CNC production equipment with a focus on safe operation.
    • Loads/unloads product to/from production workspaces.
    • Inspects product between operations, completing any associated forms/checklists.
    • Deburrs and prepares product for next operation or workstation.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workstation.

Requirements
  • 8 or more years of CNC programming experience
  • Ability to program using Mastercam software
  • Ability to make soft jaw or other types of fixtures, as needed
  • Proficient with Haas, Okuma, equipment
  • Experience working in an ISO certified shop
  • Capable of reading and understanding prints or solid models
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to read code
  • Must be able to develop a tool library in master cam
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs
  • Ability to work overtime, if needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment
