Job Summary:
 
The CMM Programmer is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision components and ensure conformance to engineering drawings and quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience with CMM programming, operation, and dimensional inspection in a manufacturing or quality-controlled environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Program and operate CMM machines to inspect parts and assemblies
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CMM inspection programs based on engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T to create accurate inspection routines
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM and manual measurement tools
  • Analyze inspection data and document results in inspection reports
  • Identify nonconformances and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams on corrective actions
  • Maintain calibration and routine maintenance of CMM equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar)
  • Maintain accurate records and inspection documentation
