Job description


Develops and/or coordinates the creation and modification of manufacturing processes for the fabrication of complex aerospace parts and create CNC Programs. Perform project engineering work in the Engineering Group requiring application of standard and advanced manufacturing techniques, procedures and criteria in developing/improving processes and/or manufacturing systems. Develop thoughts and ideas into engineered solutions with approval from plant management. Effectively participates in a team setting to achieve collective results.


Functions:

  • Identify, create, and apply manufacturing best practices and standards
  • Continually seek new manufacturing technology and processing methods that will improve the productivity, cost, quality, and agility of manufacturing
  • Develop robust, capable manufacturing processes for the machining of complex aerospace components
  • Develop new manufacturing processes and technologies where appropriate
  • Serve, when required, as the manufacturing engineering representative on cross-functional projects

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or 5 years of applicable experience
  • Must be skilled in the use of 3-D CAD software, CNC Milling & Lathe programming and process development and programming, and GD&T
  • Must be skilled in CNC Programming
  • Software: SolidWorks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Mastercam, CAMworks
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, especially related to machining manufacturing methods and fixturing


Preferred:

  • Experience in Cutting Tool Design and Jig & Fixture Design for Production Equipment
  • Experience with Honeywell manufacturing methods is a plus
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
