Job Summary
Yulista Aerospace Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Database & Systems Engineer to support Operational Test (OT) data collection, reduction, management, and analysis activities. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and integrating databases and software solutions that support instrumentation systems, data processing, and research product distribution. The selected candidate will ensure reliable system performance, data integrity, cybersecurity compliance, and the delivery of accurate test data to customers and evaluation teams.
Essential Duties
  • Develop, maintain, and administer databases supporting data collection, reduction, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Design and implement database structures, queries, reports, and automated processes to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
  • Develop scripts and software solutions to support system development, data reduction, automation, and reporting.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and associated communications systems.
  • Configure, maintain, and upgrade hardware, operating systems, databases, and network software to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Perform software installations, system patches, hardware upgrades, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Establish and maintain database backup and recovery procedures while ensuring data integrity and system security.
  • Monitor, identify, and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities in accordance with organizational security requirements.
  • Maintain database documentation, configuration records, shell scripts, batch processes, and technical procedures.
  • Develop and maintain HTTP and FTP sites to support distribution of research products, technical documentation, source code, and data deliverables.
  • Coordinate with customers, engineers, and subject matter experts to verify instrumentation systems collect and deliver required data products.
  • Support instrumentation integration by providing technical recommendations to ensure systems receive, process, and output required Operational Test data.
  • Verify operational performance of instrumentation supporting stimulation, simulation, and harvested data collection.
  • Support development of Engineering Technical Packages and associated documentation.
  • Perform software unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and validation of developed applications and database solutions.
  • Provide technical support for Automated Data Processing (ADP) systems connected to enterprise networks.
  • Work with vendor technical support to resolve hardware, software, and database issues.
  • Prepare reports and reduced data products for customer evaluation teams.
  • Ensure all technical documentation remains accurate, complete, and current.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting ExCIS data reduction or comparable Operational Test data management environments.
  • Experience administering and maintaining relational databases and database management systems.
  • Experience developing automation scripts and software applications supporting data reduction and analysis.
  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems within networked environments.
  • Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation and engineering artifacts.
Required Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for enterprise database and network environments
