Company Information: A company in the North Vernon area is looking to add a skilled CNC Programmer Machinist to their team!

The CNC Programmer Machinist is responsible for programming and setting up machines. This role plays a key part in keeping molding operations running efficiently, safely, and on time.

  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3PM-11PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11PM-7AM

CNC Programmer Machinist's Job Duties:

    • Set up, indicate, and machine components for plastic injection molds
    • Program and run CNC equipment using Mastercam and WorkNC
    • Work with 5-axis machining and Wire EDM
    • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to ensure quality and efficiency
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
    • Verify part accuracy using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
    • Troubleshoot machine and programming issues as needed
    • Maintain organized programming files and a clean work area
    • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures

CNC Programmer Machinist's Requirements:

    • 3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
    • Strong experience with Mastercam (required)
    • Experience with WorkNC, Wire EDM, and 5-axis machining
    • Comfortable working from prints and tight tolerances
    • Solid math and basic computer skills
    • Able to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
