JOB SUMMARY:


As a member of the Operations group, the CNC Programmer is responsible for setting up and programming CNC machines using solid models and drawings to produce components for centrifugal pumps. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop NC programs to be performed on multi-axis CNC machines (Okuma, Mazak, DMG/Mori, etc.) • Support Operations by sharing experiences through training and sharing best practices/knowledge with fellow CNC Programmer(s) and machinist operators • Actively participate in the development of new processes and manufacturing methods for standardization and cost reduction • Work with Department Supervisors & Technicians to achieve optimum on-time delivery and cost competitiveness.

Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


Desired but not required:


5+ years of NC Programming experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of NC Programming experience • Experience setting up, operating and programming multi-axis CNC lathe/turning centers, with live tooling (dual turrets/single spindle) and 5-axis CNC milling machines (vertical and horizontal)


Salary is negotiable - $90,000 - $120,000 with signing bonus


JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


N/C programming experience of multi-axis CNC machines (Mazak, DMG, etc.) with probing routines • MasterCAM software for programming, modeling, and inspecting • Able to recreate engineering drawings to 3D models, modify models, and run tool paths • Ability to edit G-code, make adjustments to programs, and write programs as required for low volume/high volume and more complex setups and operations • Excellent and active verbal and written communication skills. • High attention to detail and precision • Strong drive for improvement, initiative, and closure • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
