Job description

Job Title: CNC Programmer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with a strong background in injection mold building to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience programming CNC machines for the fabrication of components used in injection mold tooling. This role requires strong knowledge of machining process, CAD/CAM software, and electrode design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Program CNC tool paths for mills, lathes, and/or EDM machines to produce components for injection mold tooling.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications to fabricate precision tooling.
  • Optimize machining strategies for efficiency, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Set up and prove out CNC programs on the shop floor, adjusting as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve mold designs and manufacturability.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in a mold making environment.
  • Proficient in MasterCam software. Mazatrol is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials used in mold construction.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting 3D models.
  • Experience designing electrodes for use with Sinker EDMs is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize urgent jobs that impact downstream operations while balancing overall shop efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
