What You Will Do:
  • Develop, validate, and optimize CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso for complex aerospace components
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Zeiss CMM equipment to support production and inspection activities
  • Lead and coordinate CMM programming team, including workload prioritization and resource allocation
  • Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in engineering drawings and CAD models
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) in compliance with AS9102 requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to CMM programmers and inspection personnel
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and internal quality systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve dimensional issues
  • Interface with customers, auditors, and regulatory representatives (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration, Defense Contract Management Agency)
  • Manage CMM equipment utilization, calibration scheduling, and preventive maintenance
  • Implement and maintain Prolink data collection system to capture CMM results and support statistical process control (SPC) and process capability monitoring
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using CORE, ACE, and Lean methodologies to improve quality, throughput, and delivery performance

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and application
  • Experience in Zeiss Calypso (or equivalent CMM software)

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • 6+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering, including at least 4 years in CMM programming
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to obtain high levels of performance to accomplish goals.
  • Experience with offline programming using CAD models (NX)
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a metrology or quality environment
  • Experience using CAMIO software for programming LK CMMs
  • Experience implementing and utilizing Prolink for CMM data collection, SPC, and process capability monitoring
  • Understanding of Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R, and SPC implementation
  • Experience working in a shop or supplier quality capacity
  • Working knowledge of aerospace standards including AS9100 and AS9102
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and external customers (DCMA, FAA)
