Description
This position is for a summer 2026 internship on Wireless Audio & Gaming Systems Performance.
Be mentored while contributing to improve the performance of wireless systems. Possible topics for this internship include wireless audio and data systems, system performance, impact of interference in RF applications etc. This work will include developing tests, scripting in Python, debugging, and documentation of your work. Expect to collaborate with other team members and review your findings regularly with the group.

Responsibilities
  • You will work with system applications engineering team, improve the performance of wireless audio and gaming systems.
  • As an intern, you will be exposed to the tools and workflow of our team.
  • Tasks can include performance assessment of various wireless applications and protocols, writing Python code to automate tests and data collection and analysis.
  • Report bugs on bug tracking tools, writing test reports, presenting findings.
  • The intern will be expected to present their results, in both meetings and a final design document.

Required Experience and Skills
Successful candidate is enrolled in a graduate STEM engineering degree program (Masters or PhD) or Bachelors student who completed at least 3 years of undergraduate STEM engineering degree program prior to the start of internship.
  • Hands-on debugging embedded software systems, measurement, and data collection with common lab equipment: familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Python programming experience for test automation and data collection, code to interact with typical lab equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of Wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Proprietary etc.
  • Basic understanding of RF Systems
  • Self-learning, problem solving and verbal and written communication.

Desired Experience and Skills
Experience with soldering SMT components, Knowledge of digital wireless systems and hardware
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
