Programme Director information

What is a programme director?

Programme Directors are senior professionals responsible for overseeing and managing multiple related projects within an organization, ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals. They coordinate project managers, allocate resources, set priorities, and monitor progress to deliver successful outcomes. Programme Directors often communicate with stakeholders, manage risks, and adjust plans as necessary to achieve the desired benefits and objectives. Their role is crucial in ensuring complex programmes are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

How does a programme director typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success?

A Programme Director frequently works with cross-functional teams by facilitating clear communication between departments such as finance, operations, and technical staff to align goals and expectations. They lead regular progress meetings, resolve interdepartmental conflicts, and strategically allocate resources across multiple projects. This collaboration ensures that all projects within the programme support overall business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget. Effective stakeholder management and fostering a culture of transparency are key to overcoming challenges that arise from coordinating diverse teams.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a programme director, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Programme Director, you need strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills, supported by significant experience and often an advanced degree in management or a related field. Familiarity with program management tools like MS Project, PRINCE2, or PMP certification is typically expected. Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities set exceptional Programme Directors apart. These skills ensure successful delivery of complex programs, alignment with organizational goals, and effective navigation of challenges.

Job description

ASSOCIATE DENTIST - WEST COAST DENTAL | NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR Full-Time | All Experience Levels Welcome | Incredible Outdoor Lifestyle

The Opportunity

Build a career and lifestyle that exceeds your expectations, with one of Canadas most picturesque national parks to be your backyard.

West Coast Dental is a thriving, modern practice on one of Canada's most breathtaking coastlines - and we are looking for a full-time associate ready to plant roots somewhere genuinely special. You're not building a practice from scratch, you're stepping into a practice that is robust, well loved, and already running beautifully.

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week

Culture & Environment

West Coast Family Dental is a practice where people know each other by name, are proud to be a team and where we work together to achieve together. Warm, collaborative, and genuinely supportive - this is where mentorship isn't just a talking point. Our team culture reflects a practice that takes its people as seriously as our patients.

The Clinical Environment

The clinical scope is as broad as you want, and the technology to support you is serious - iTero intraoral scanner, CBCT 3D imaging, advanced endo capability including molar retreats and calcified canals, implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, and more.

You're the Right Fit If...

  • You're comfortable working independently and want to jump in with both feet

  • You're drawn to comprehensive general dentistry - you want to do more, not refer more

  • You value real relationships: with your team, your patients, and your community

  • You're thinking long-term - about your career and where you want to build your life

  • You're open to adventure and genuinely excited by the idea of living somewhere extraordinary

About the West Coast of Newfoundland

The west coast of Newfoundland is one of Canada's most spectacular and undersung regions - dramatic fjords, ancient mountains, and a community warmth that's hard to find anywhere else exploring our landscape will make you forget you're in Canada, you'll look around and wonder if you're in Iceland, Ireland, or New Zealand. Gros Mourne National Park is a quick drive and the drive to the airport is quicker, with daily direct flights to Toronto and Halifax.

Added Perks of Joining Our Team:

  • Associate Development Program

  • Ortho Acceleration Program & Align Partnership

  • Implant Program

  • Network of Experienced Dental Professionals

About You:

  • Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process

  • Registered and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements

  • Valid CPR certification

All applicants must be domiciled in Canada. We thank all applicants, but only suitable applicants will be contacted.
