UPMC Health Plan is launching a new Junior Leadership Track Program, a rotational internship-to-hire pathway designed exclusively for transitioning service members and recently separated military veterans. This fellowship provides a structured, high-impact bridge from military service into corporate leadership roles at UPMC.
Fellows will spend 12 months embedded with our Claims Operations team, gaining hands-on experience across multiple functional areas while receiving personalized support from UPMC's Military Engagement Team. This program is built to accelerate professional growth, strengthen leadership capabilities, and prepare veterans for long-term career success within the organization. Wages during the 12-month internship are in the $27-30/hr. range (depending on experience and qualifications), with an expected pay increase upon transition to full-time hire.
Upon successful completion of the fellowship, participants transition into a full-time leadership-track role within the UPMC Health Plan at competitive full-time salary. Candidates with demonstrated experience leading people or managing programs will be especially competitive.
