What is programmatic media trading?

Programmatic media trading is the automated process of buying and selling digital advertising space using technology and data-driven systems. Instead of relying on manual negotiations, programmatic platforms use algorithms to purchase ad impressions in real time, allowing for more precise targeting and efficient spend. This approach helps advertisers reach specific audiences at the right moment, maximizing the impact of their campaigns while optimizing costs. Programmatic trading can include various types of auctions and direct deals, making it a flexible solution for modern digital marketing.

Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills help professionals stand out in this fast-paced environment. These competencies ensure effective campaign optimization, efficient budget allocation, and successful achievement of client advertising goals.

Job description

The Marketing Manager directs the daily work of in house graphic design and PR and media resources, manages vendors and agency partners, owns trade show and event execution, runs the website and digital channels, and supports product launches and sales enablement. The role reports to the department head for direction and priorities and translates that direction into organized, consistent, accountable execution across products that are specified, tested, and sold on performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate priority marketing initiatives for the department, including intake and prioritization of requests from Product Management, Sales, Technical, and leadership

• Run the department's centralized proofing and approval workflow, keeping reviews on schedule, comments resolved, and final approvals documented

• Manage marketing vendors, agencies, printers, promotional partners, event partners, and creative resources with clear expectations, timelines, and cost discipline

• Own trade show and event planning and execution across the annual calendar, including major national shows such as IBS, IRE, and AHR: budgets, booth coordination, logistics, materials, staffing, lead capture, and post-show follow up

• Run KINA's website operations: content updates, landing pages, forms, and literature through the content management system, plus SEO, analytics, and coordination with the programmatic media partner

• Plan and publish the email and social cadence through marketing automation (HubSpot), tied to launches, events, and business priorities

• Write and edit clear, technically accurate copy across collateral, product literature, web content, presentations, and communications, partnering with Product Management and Technical Services on subject matter

• Drive cross channel launch readiness: web, literature, samples, sales enablement content (Showpad), email, social, PR, and the sales toolkit, with obsolete content retired at launch

• Coordinate with Sales to support channel needs, distributor communications, customer presentations, and commercial campaigns

• Enforce brand consistency and asset governance so approved versions replace obsolete files everywhere they live: website, sales enablement library, print, and internal repositories

• Deliver monthly performance reporting across web, search, paid media, email, social, and events that ends with actions, owners, and dates, and manage marketing spend across platforms

• Ensure all customer facing materials are accurate, on brand, and follow the formal review and sign off process after release

Team Work Direction

• Provide day to day work direction, prioritization, and quality review for in house graphic design and PR and media resources

• Balance workload and capacity across brand, digital, and creative work so committed deadlines are protected

• Protect the creative workflow with consolidated, decision ready feedback and complete briefs after production begins

• Escalate resourcing, performance, and hiring needs to the department head; people management, performance evaluation, and hiring decisions remain with the department head
