Join our dynamic team as a CARWASH Field Service Technician and become a vital force in ensuring the seamless operation of our Vehicle Wash Equipment Sales & Service Company. In this energetic and hands-on role, you will lead complex maintenance activities, troubleshoot advanced machinery, and implement innovative solutions to maximize equipment uptime. Your expertise will drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement across our industrial environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced FIELD SERVICE setting while contributing to the success of a forward-thinking organization. Company Vehicle, fuel card, purchasing card, and some tools furnished!

Responsibilities

  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of vehicle washing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Diagnose and repair issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrician experience to troubleshoot automation systems and control panels.
  • Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to assess electrical circuits and components accurately.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs using various tools and techniques to restore equipment functionality.
  • Manage maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history.
  • Conduct field service tasks involving high voltage systems, hydraulic power units, low voltage controls, self serve, tunnel, air compressors. and other wash related equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance while maintaining safety standards.
  • Support technical sales initiatives by providing expert advice on equipment specifications and maintenance solutions when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to electrical work, high voltage systems, and industrial mechanics.

Experience

  • Multiple year industrial mechanic experience in a vehicle wash equipment FIELD SERVICE environment.
  • Proven expertise in electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, industrial electrician work, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatic systems, welding, and mechanical repairs.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS platforms, precision measuring instruments (ammeters, ohmmeters), and analysis skills for diagnostics.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance best practices in a fast-paced setting with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Previous field service experience working with vehicle wash equipment or similar industrial machinery is highly desirable.
  • Military background or experience is considered an asset due to discipline and technical training background.
