The hourly salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual hourly rate for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

The intent of this position is to provide our 2026 Travelers Summer Interns and Summer Students the ability to apply to our 2027 Full-time or Intern opportunities. Housing - The Internship program is based in Hartford, CT and St. Paul, MN. Positions are available in our Business Units and Corporate Departments. Subsidized apartments are available for students who live beyond a commutable distance from Hartford, CT or St. Paul, MN. Positions are available early June through the end of the summer.

  • Internship assignments will provide real-world exposure in one or more of the following areas: Accounting and Controllership, Auditing and Internal Controls, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting and Modeling, Corporate Audit, Corporate Tax.
  • You will work on projects that build technical skills, business insight, and professional competencies critical to success in finance and accounting roles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or greater.
  • Eligible for full-time hire or a repeat internship within one year of completing this current internship.
  • Willingness to relocate to Hartford, CT or St. Paul, MN.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through internships, extracurricular activities, or work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to excellence, integrity, and continuous growth.
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
What is a Must Have?
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting and/or Finance or a related business field.
