Job description

Student Services Coordinator

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Student Services Coordinator for the Student Services department. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the department through effective coordination, communication, record management, and student support services. This position plays an important role in enhancing the student experience by assisting with departmental initiatives, facilitating processes, and providing administrative support. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.

Summary of Duties:
  • Department liaison for academic support needs and various student affairs areas throughout the university
  • Assist with students identified as needing additional resources for success; routing them to the appropriate resource and providing follow-up as directed
  • Supervise and coordinate student workers for the department
  • Maintain retention data and prepare reports from ongoing updates
  • Maintain electronic student records; enter and update student information
  • Collaborate on special projects; coordinate efforts to achieve deadlines and overall success
  • Assist students with completing housing registration
  • Update and create weekly E-News announcements; maintain other electronic message boards
  • Coordinate student events provided by the department
  • Assist with coordination of the daily chapel program and attendance tracking
  • Maintain documentation of students needing guidance from the Dean of Students
  • Coordinate with Chief of Police and Dean of Students for ID security access for students and employees
  • Manage daily office responsibilities including reception, answering telephone, and welcoming visitors
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years administrative support experience required
  • Active member of the church of Christ
