Overview:
Our Accounting Manager role is suited for an individual willing to grow with us. To be successful in this role, the Accounting Manager must possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role is savvy in Excel, has excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and is able to create and maintain a team-oriented environment and work well with others.
The Accounting Manager also possesses the ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements, completes assignments with deadlines and due dates and has strong integrity and ethics. This position is responsible for overseeing daily transactions for all entities, cash planning, & financial reporting compilation, budget monitoring, internal control development. Reporting to the VP of Finance,
the Accounting Manager responsibilities include:
  • Supervise Accounting Department Staff.
  • Monitor daily cash position and maintain cash projections.
  • Tax reporting
  • Responsible for month end closing and financial reporting
  • Review supporting balance sheet schedules
  • Develop recommendations to optimize company's accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies.
  • Develop, maintain & perform internal audit procedures.
  • Support business process and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation.
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements.

Accounting Manager requirements are:
  • 5+ years' experience of working as an Accountant, ideally in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experienced with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Practical experience with accounting software packages.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends.
  • Excellent understanding of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills; experienced at presenting financial reports to leadership teams.
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance is a requirement; a certification such as CMA or CPA is preferred.
  • An "Adventurer Mindset" of providing value in everything we do. This includes our environment and value stream - everything we touch.
  • Infor Syteline experience is preferred.
  • QuickBooks experience is preferred.
  • Foreign exchange knowledge
  • Ability to travel internationally
