Sr. Program/Project Manager
Sr. Project Manager will have experience in executing large and complex enterprise projects. The role is well versed in project management methodology, understanding of agile disciplines, has rich background of Project/Program successes, is energetic, personable and thrives in a dynamic environment. The Sr. Project Manager role is responsible for leading all day to day activities of various small to large sized project(s) within the overall portfolio of the assigned technology domain. Sr. Project Manager will work with the leaders of release trains and scrum teams for a program track that rolls into the larger program. Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, monitoring, execution, and successful completion of their projects - on scope, budget, and schedule and meeting all project metrics for quality. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the creation of project related deliverables, such as:
Plan of Record (update)
Project Management Plan (owner)
Resource Plans (update)
Project Status Reports (owner)
Issue / Risk / Assumptions / Action Item / Decisions Log (owner) (IRAAD)
This position is expected to apply industry best practices to drive initiative success. The Project Manager will collaborate with all teams in developing project plans, gathering project status efficiently by following up and will lead with forward looking, action oriented status meetings. The Project Manager will manage the expectations of internal and external stakeholders through transparent and proactive status reporting, ongoing planning, stakeholder meetings, dependency discussions, impact analysis, and other communications.
The Project Manager is responsible for assisting and facilitating the deliverables for the assigned program tracks and support PMO team by partnering and co-owning some of the duties of RTE (Release Train Engineer)
such as:
Work with train RTCs to maintain track level plan and roadmap
Ownership of track level artifacts, processes and monitoring artifacts
Own Track level Risk/Issues processes and tools.
Track level status reporting
Track level change control process
Partner with RTEs for reporting and tracking metrics
Partner with RTEs to assist in planning events
Facilitate and assist in dependency management and impact analysis
Partner with RTEs to keep the meta information in Rally up to date
Essential Functions:
Facilitates tracks and reports on key track level metrics and details providing the visibility and transparency needed for proactively decision making by the PMO and Program Leadership team. via aggregated information relating details like delivery timelines, capacity and key risks.
Works with Release Train management teams and Technical Leads to maintain a roadmap that aligns with the Program plan.
Works closely with PMO to align processes/plans/artifacts with Program plan and milestones
Leads & Facilitate all aspects of the project management process e.g. quarterly planning, leading project status meetings and supporting scrum team, supporting backlog management and tracking team progress
Monitors and controls projects by managing track level milestones, scope, issues and risks ensuring appropriate corrective actions and interventions are enacted in a timely manner working collaboratively with the business sponsor, release trains and scrum teams.
Develops, facilitate and implements communication strategies and plans to ensure status, activities, accomplishments, issues, and risks are communicated.
Provides process leadership, direction, and support to project/scrum teams by reviewing deliverables prepared by the team, identifying opportunities for improvement, contributing to the continuous improvement of best practices and providing thought leadership to the PPM processes.
Ensure planned, regular, and effective communication of status, issues, risks, and actions among all persons and parties involved in the program.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education: Bachelor's Degree and Project Management Certification(s) or equivalent Experience:
Minimum 7 yrs of experience in project management capacity implementing large enterprise software systems
