Job description

The Stellantis Customer Experience organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Project Milestone Assessor to join the Quality team in Auburn Hills, MI. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring launched products exceed customer expectations as measured in the six types of Quality. This role serves as a support role in the independent review of the vehicle development process to ensure they are completed to an acceptable standard to deliver a quality product to the customer at the launch of a new product. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of developing and executing standardization and leadership. The selected individual will have experience in managing cross-functional teams and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality landscape. The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions -- a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style, and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.
In the field of the Customer Experience, the Project Milestone Assessor:
  • Appreciates the follow up of the Projects through different KPI (Quality, Performances, Cost, Time schedule, Industrial, Supply Chain, Brand, etc.)
  • Ensures that all Project expected deliverables are achieved at each milestone by managing interviews with the main principals of the project
  • Rates the risks of the projects. Ensures that all the objective (QCDP) risks or gaps have a corrective plan
  • Pays specific attention to the Quality results (Product and Industrial)
  • Draws up the milestone assessment according to the Project development
  • Supports the Project Teams and Mass-production Teams to deploy the quality methods and all the methods needed to master the running and the achievement of the Product Quality and Quality Processes results
  • Contributes to the improvement of the standards by bringing the lessons learned during the Project or Mass-production development
  • Draws up the lessons learned and shares them
  • Brings their experience to update or improve the processes or methods

Their scope is:
  • The Vehicle Projects - The Projects developed with partners (JV or Partnership), as such, the PMA:
    • Links with the PMK with the Project Teams (the RQP) in order to have regularly feedback and to follow the convergence to the deliverables expected for each milestone
    • Establishes with the Project Team the roadmap of the actions to be done until the milestone, based on a rating of the topics to fulfill
    • Draws up the milestone assessment and its synthesis
    • Manages the proofreading meeting of the milestone assessment with the Project and the main principals of the other directions involved
    • Ensures the final distribution of the milestone assessment is done to the right people in the company
    • Ensures the right implementation of the project quality referential
    • Attends to the methods or standards improvements meetings by bringing their own experience
    • Arranges the meetings needed with the principals involved and the Project in order to help to define the action plans (If necessary)
    • Identifies the good practices and analyses the difficulties of the projects they have in their overall perimeter in order to save this information and to give his lessons learned to the other projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5+ years of quality, manufacturing, and or design/release related experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Self-directed, team oriented with demonstrated planning/problem-solving skills
  • Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required
