Program Project Coordinator - C2 Pipeline, College of Nursing
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Program Project Coordinator - C2 Pipeline, College of Nursing at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):
Under limited direction, coordinate office services, programs and projects and multitask in a variety of situations, responding in a timely manner to changes in priorities. C2 Pipeline is a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant-funded afterschool program that is part of the College of Nursing. The candidate will serve as the project coordinator in support of C2 Pipeline staff as it relates to recruitment and afterschool programs, participate in assigned programs and projects designed to achieve organizational goals and objectives and serve as liaison to internal and external contacts.
Coordinate and handle assignments involving a high level of organization, confidentiality, record keeping, attention to detail and accuracy. Coordinate personnel activities and follow ups for the program and act as the main contact for these, including job postings, coordinating onboarding processes and paperwork.
Anticipate the needs of the office and act accordingly. Assist in setting daily priorities, researching information, scheduling meetings, establishing timelines for special projects.
Interpret procedures and processes to facilitate department goals and make revisions as necessary. Provide sound statistical information to the Department.
Assist Department Administration with annual budgets, professional development plans, and special requests made by Site Coordinators.
Assist in preparation and/or submission and follow up of annual reviews, and/or reports pertaining to the strategic goals of the department.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
- High level with experience in Banner and online Web Time Entry system preferred. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Project Management: Ability to independently manage a variety of projects while ensuring appropriate tracking, quality control, follow-up, and multiple deadlines are met.
- Written Communications: Outstanding writing skills to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences in various media, including web, letters, evaluations, reports, program summaries.
- Self-Starter: Must be able to work independently in a highly organized, detail-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding interpersonal abilities to build cooperative, effective relationships, facilitate communication and understanding among faculty members. Maintain professional decorum at all times in terms of poise, appearance, language, confidentiality, punctuality, and customer service to both internal and external constituents.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated teamwork skills including ability to build consensus, anticipate problems and difficult situations, and develop mutually agreed-upon strategies and/or solutions.
- Technology Skills: Be proficient in Microsoft Office platform including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, and the Internet. Extensive knowledge and hands-on use of University software platforms such as Banner and Web time entry is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Planning/Organizing Skills: Prioritizes and plans work activities; adapts to changing conditions. Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals.
