Job description

About the Company

We are a growing commercial construction organization with approximately 500 employees and projected annual revenue of nearly $600 million. Our continued growth is driven by a strong commitment to quality, safety, client relationships, and the successful delivery of complex construction projects.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in managing projects from preconstruction through completion.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the overall planning, coordination, execution, and financial performance of assigned construction projects. This individual will work closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, and internal leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing healthcare, large commercial, institutional, or similarly complex construction projects. Candidates with multifamily-only experience will not be considered.

We are open to candidates relocating from anywhere in the country and are willing to provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Review contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, including procurement and contract administration.
  • Monitor project costs, changes, billing, and overall financial performance.
  • Identify and resolve project issues while proactively managing risk.
  • Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
  • Coordinate closely with field operations and project teams to maintain project momentum.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and other project documentation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in preconstruction activities, estimating reviews, value engineering, and project planning as needed.
  • Support project closeout and ensure all contractual requirements are completed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience, depending on level.
  • Experience with healthcare, large commercial, institutional, or other complex construction projects strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as project needs require.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and Project Manager level.
  • Annual bonus opportunity of approximately 15%–20% of base salary, depending on role and level.
  • Monthly car allowance ranging from approximately $450 to $850, based on Project Manager level, with senior-level PMs eligible for allowances up to $850.
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates relocating from outside the area.
  • Opportunity to join a growing organization with approximately 500 employees and ~$600 million in annual revenue.
  • Career progression opportunities across multiple Project Manager levels.
