JOB SUMMARY

Manages individual programs/projects throughout the life cycle, from concept development through development of customer-specific proposals and development, and ultimately through full rate production. Responsible for cost, schedule, and quality of a customer or internally funded project. Acts as the customer primary point of contact and must have excellent technical management and communications skills. Has matrixed resources that indirectly report and have functional responsibilities that include but may not be limited to engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality. Identifies potential risks and implements plans with actions to ensure successful program completion.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

  • Serve as the focal point for the project
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Develop project plans to ensure on-time completion, within budget, and in compliance with all quality requirements
  • Manage customer changes related to technical scope, schedule changes, and commercial impacts
  • Track cost performance of the overall project
  • Communicate project status and ongoing financial performance to key stakeholders
  • Manage project performance and adherence to requirements
  • Provide frequent status updates, milestone performance updates, and risk analysis summaries

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

  • A four-year college degree (Bachelor's degree) or equivalent work experience is required

Experience:

  • 2 or more years of direct experience preferred
  • Experience with managing development project from inception to completion

Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Experience with problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills

Other:

  • Extended or irregular hours may be required
  • Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally if required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
