Join us as a Project Manager, where you'll serve as a key connection point between clients, laboratory teams, and sales partners. In this role, you'll help manage project communication, monitor milestones, support client needs, and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time. You'll use your technical knowledge, customer service mindset, and project coordination skills to keep work moving smoothly while supporting Pace's mission to provide trusted environmental testing services.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project updates, issues, deliverables, and scope changes.
  • Lead client meetings in person or by phone/video, as needed or requested by the Account Executive.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to monitor project status, timelines, potential delays, and deliverables.
  • Communicate project updates and alternatives to clients in a clear, positive, and professional manner.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Department Leads to determine testing capabilities for incoming projects and support quote changes based on project scope.
  • Update project status, cost, and client account information in the Laboratory Information Management System, or LIMS.
  • Support Sample Management on large or complex projects by reviewing project needs, incoming sample concerns, and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate client and department reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Review dashboards and open projects to help keep work on track and meet client deadlines.
  • Provide intermediate to complex analysis and interpretation of data results to clients.
  • Assist with project management and cross-functional project objectives, including budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements.
  • Interpret and apply department policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws, rules, and regulations, with guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency by sharing ideas, supporting process improvements, and actively participating as part of the team.
  • Promote Pace's mission by demonstrating courteous, cooperative, and professional behavior with customers and internal teams.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, chemistry, environmental science, or a closely related field; and at least three years of experience, including experience with specialized or technical programs or operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • General understanding of project management programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to resolve project management questions, concerns, delays, and client issues using sound judgment.
  • Understanding of applicable laws, codes, regulations, and testing capabilities.
  • Experience using computer applications and systems related to project coordination, reporting, and client support.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, coworkers, laboratory staff, and sales teams.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in both team-based and individual contributor environments.
  • Professional judgment, tact, discretion, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external clients.
