Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the projects assigned, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. The Senior Project Manager role will be responsible for managing projects from onset through completion, while working to enhance quality management systems, company related KPI's, and policies.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, establish and manage a platform and process for receiving and tracking all project requests and project plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets.
  • Establish project templates to be used and modified as needed
  • Work with quality management system (QMS) and performance management teams to develop ROI and synergy tracking. Ensuring industry standards and customer satisfaction are maintained throughout the project as well as that safety regulations and company policies are followed.
  • Create monthly status report readout to executive management
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify project scope and determine the team's key players and requirements; identifies and mitigates project risk and issues
  • Develops and schedules team responsibilities; technical/operation requirements; detailed project plans, project budget, timelines, resources, specifications, etc. to accomplish project goals; continually follows up with team to ensure goals are achieved.
  • As the point of contact; manages projects, including leading project meetings; documents issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables; updates project schedules and plans, project communications, provides project participant status updates, budget tracking, etc.
  • Drive a self-management project work stream process and execution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • The wage range for this position is $92,700.00-$139,060.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Required) or
• Master's Degree (Preferred)
Experience
• 7+ years experience as a project manager or experience as team lead managing large budgets (Required)
• 3+ years of experience in a freight forwarding environment (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Project planning and life cycle development High
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to present, influence, and collaborate at the leadership level High
• Strong analytical skills to think strategically, analyze business data that tells a story, and develop holistic HR solutions to address talent gaps High
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookups) and PowerPoint High
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. High
