Job description

DecisionPoint seeks a Project Manager to lead contractor performance in support of the U.S. Air Force Executive Airlift Communications Network program. The Project Manager will supervise all contract personnel, oversee contractor-related functions, and serve as DecisionPoint’s authorized management representative for the effort. 

The Project Manager will coordinate performance across technical, operational, cybersecurity, and service-management workstreams supporting geographically dispersed EACN locations.  

This position requires regular on-site performance at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, and close coordination with Government program leadership and technical stakeholders.

The Project Manager will: 

  • Serve as DecisionPoint’s primary point of contact for contract management and performance. 
  • Exercise decision-making and signature authority for contractor-related matters. 
  • Supervise all contractor personnel assigned to the program. 
  • Manage staffing, schedules, workload distribution, and workforce continuity across supported locations. 
  • Ensure personnel meet contract, security, certification, training, and performance requirements. 
  • Coordinate with Government leadership to establish priorities, validate requirements, and resolve performance issues. 
  • Lead program reviews, recurring status meetings, and stakeholder coordination sessions. 
  • Oversee preparation and submission of required reports, plans, status updates, and contract deliverables. 
  • Monitor performance against service levels, quality standards, staffing requirements, and project milestones. 
  • Identify and manage operational, technical, staffing, schedule, and performance risks. 
  • Implement corrective actions when performance deficiencies or compliance concerns are identified. 
  • Coordinate activities across network, voice, systems, cybersecurity, DevOps, incident response, ITSM, ServiceNow, and GSOC support teams. 
  • Support transition planning, configuration management, quality control, security compliance, and property accountability. 
  • Ensure mission-essential functions remain properly staffed during emergencies, absences, and continuity events. 
  • Maintain effective communication among DecisionPoint leadership, Government stakeholders, subcontractors, and technical personnel. 

Clearance Requirement: 

Must hold an active Top Secret clearance. 

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum eight years of progressively responsible program or project management experience supporting complex IT, communications, cybersecurity, or systems-engineering efforts. 
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary technical teams and geographically dispersed personnel. 
  • Experience managing federal or Department of Defense contracts strongly preferred. 
  • Experience overseeing staffing, schedules, risks, quality, deliverables, and customer coordination. 
  • Experience supporting classified or mission-critical operational environments preferred.
