POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Program Management Organization (PMO) Manager, the Project/Program Manager is responsible for achieving the objectives of the Program(s)/Project(s) assigned. Ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining or exceeding the targeted program financial profitability.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead assigned Program(s)/Project(s), develop and execute Program/Project Plans, identify and track deviations to the plans and undertake recovery actions

  • Lead multi-functional PM team (Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, etc.), you create a teamwork atmosphere and coach team members in order to enhance the highest level of collaboration and performance.

  • Coordinate with Sales, Proposal and Production personnel whenever necessary.

  • Depending on the Program/Project and to be agreed on with the PMO Manager:

    • You may the SPOC for the customer and manage the customer relationship

    • You may ensure the 1st line contract management, identify deviation to the contract and negotiate the impacts with the customer

  • Track key process indicators (KPIs) including: financial margin, On Time Delivery (OTD), OQD, etc. Provide monthly dashboard KPI updates to top management at the monthly Steering Committee.

  • Provide weekly status and/or report to the project team and the PMO Manager at the weekly project reviews.

  • Establish an (internal/external) network to effectively escalate/solve complex issues

  • Contribute knowledge and experience to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives as part of the PM system


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's degree in Business, Engineering Management, or Industrial Engineering preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Program Manager, Bid Manager, Project Manager, Senior PMO, Lead Engineer, Key Account Manager in a manufacturing industry (e.g. Aerospace, Automotive, Naval, ...)

  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications (Access, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • An understanding of overall business operations, including financial implications of project results for revenue, expenses and profit margins.

  • Proven experience of international Programs/Projects

  • Ability to influence without authority to ensure project milestone completion

  • Proven experience of leadership/followership out of formal hierarchical lines - you are a team player

  • Knowledge of MS Project, Knowledge of Planview is a plus

  • Positive attitude and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
