Senior Project Manager
Department: Project Management / Operations
Reports To: Chief Commercial Officer
Location: Easley, South Carolina

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager leads complex industrial manufacturing and material-handling projects from order acknowledgment through delivery, installation, and closeout. This position is accountable for project scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and customer satisfaction while coordinating customers, system integrators, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
Areas of Responsibility
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary project contact for customers, system integrators, contractors, suppliers, site personnel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project activities across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Shipping, Field Services, and Installation.
  • Review contracts, purchase orders, specifications, drawings, and other project documents to confirm requirements and identify risks.
  • Monitor engineering releases, material availability, production, inspections, shipping, site readiness, installation, and startup activities.
  • Lead project meetings, document decisions and action items, and hold responsible parties accountable for assigned deliverables.
  • Track project costs, forecasts, invoicing milestones, schedules, quality requirements, and key performance indicators.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and coordinate corrective actions to minimize customer impact.
  • Manage scope changes, including documentation, pricing, approvals, schedule impacts, and change orders.
  • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular status reports to customers and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve project conflicts and escalate issues that may affect cost, schedule, quality, or delivery.
  • Lead project closeout, including customer acceptance, final documentation, financial reconciliation, and lessons learned.
  • Support continuous improvement of project-management procedures, tools, and reporting practices.
Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and project controls.
  • Ability to lead multiple complex projects and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing, structural steel fabrication, warehouse automation, construction, or material-handling systems.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, purchase orders, technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and project schedules.
  • Experience managing project finances, scope changes, contracts, and change orders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective meetings and present project information to customers and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, project-management software, document-control platforms, and technical drawing-viewing applications.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field required. Equivalent education and directly related experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of seven years of project-management experience in industrial manufacturing, construction, engineering, warehouse automation, material handling, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving customers, system integrators, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Proven experience managing project scope, contracts, budgets, schedules, risks, documentation, delivery, and installation.
  • Project Management Professional certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified quality-management system preferred.
