Job description

Our client is a leading global construction consultancy renowned for delivering high-profile, complex and iconic large-scale capital projects. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, they are truly at the forefront of their industry.

We are currently seeking a talented full-time Senior Project Manager for Life Science, Manufacturing and Technology projects to work directly with clients on major capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program level leadership as an extension of the client's senior leadership team to ensure the overall successful completion of the program/s as may be assigned.
  • Establish key relationships with the client and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead the specialist design team, construction supervision and cost consultants throughout the project.
  • Implement an appropriate and effective project management framework.
  • Effectively manage the performance of the program team to execute assigned capital programs and projects, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery on large complex programs and projects.
  • Act as the key client and consultant interface at all project stages ensuring that client and quality objectives are met, and projects are delivered within safety, quality, time and cost targets.
  • Direct project planning and production of the detailed project plan.
  • Lead and manage the cross-functional project team.
  • Provide strategic advice from project conception stage to achieve overall objectives, development of success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters until completion and handover.
  • Anticipate and implement strategies to address quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  • Establish, implementing and manage the effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout a project.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques using KPI's to improve project performance.
  • Monitor and advise upon project finances and procurement of resources.
  • Manage the reporting and the flow of program/project information between the team and the client.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering or other relevant degree (MS or MBA preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Demonstrated capital program leadership experience
  • Effectively, managed integrated team(s) on large complex and multi-phase Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing capital programs.
  • Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, including alternative project delivery (Design Build and Construction Manager at Risk).
