Description

The Project Managers lead and manage medium scale complex global infrastructure strategic change projects/programs and business transformations with the business and delivery partners (circa $5m + budgets, matrixed teams, multiple business lines). They act as a role model, working as one global team, demonstrating active leadership and communication. They need to be able to operate at executive level, across regions and global businesses.โ€ฏ

Project Managers are responsible for adhering to the change frameworks within their project/program and instilling excellent project/program disciplines within their project/program and across technology and the entire company. The role holder has end to end responsibility for all aspects of the project/program, including definition, planning, execution & implementation, governance & control, financial, resource and change management. They are also responsible for effective handover of the project/ program into BAU operations to support effective benefits realization. They work closely with their respective Portfolio Manager, the global PM team, and their senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of their project/ program with the wider change portfolio and the company strategy, values and behaviors.

Project Managers will often play a people / team management role within the projects / programs they work on. They may also have line management responsibility for a group of more junior resources within their resource pool (as related to their job family).

The specific purpose of this role is to establish and deliver (manage / direct / track) and report progress on a number of group wide projects/programs that will ensure that the company meets its obligations in respect of a number of key infrastructure delivery capabilities.

This role holder will establish and deliver projects/programs which could include but not limited to: service sustainability, transformation, and corporate services estate.

As a Project Manager in the, the role holder will provide direct oversight of the program(s)/ project(s),โ€™ financial and outcome accountability, reporting to a Portfolio Manager.

In executing this role, the Project Manager will need to:

โ€ข build strong relationships with senior stakeholders within IT, Global Businesses, Finance

โ€ข work closely with their respective Portfolio Manager, the transformation and change team and their senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of their project/program with the wider change portfolio and group strategy, values, and behavior.

โ€ข provide board level overview of progress, lead and direct multidisciplinary teams across all global businesses, global functions, and regions.

โ€ข lead end to end execution and responsibility for all aspects of the project/program, including definition, planning, execution & implementation, governance & control, financial, resource and change management.

โ€ข Provide financial analysis, including being able to contextualize financial data into business activities and conclusions.

โ€ข Ensure the adherence to financial processes and procedures at project/program level, as set and communicated by the company, regulators, and PM practice.

โ€ข Identification and escalation of any budgetary related risks, issues, and opportunities to portfolio/function as appropriate.

โ€ข have responsibility for effective handover of the project/program into BAU operations to support effective benefits realization.

โ€ข have responsibility for deploying the change frameworks and respective methodologies within their Program/Project and instilling good program/project disciplines within their project and wider team.

Knowledge & Experience:

โ€ข recently handled DC/core network/FW projects

โ€ข for large banks/clients.

โ€ข preferably travel office (hybrid work for 3 days) in Buffalo or Chicago or Vernon Hills

โ€ข Understanding of / ability to engage with technical teams on Contact Centre, Cloud technologies, Networking Infrastructure, Firewalls, Routing, Solution Architecture and Design etc.

โ€ข Experience of delivering change programs within a Technology organization, within telecom Infrastructure

โ€ข Experience of working on Session Border Controller, Genesys deployments

โ€ข Proven knowledge on automation products in managing contact center projects with platform experience.

โ€ข Understanding of clarity, Jira, Confluence and MS Project.

โ€ข Business analysis skills to assess and provide recommendations which will aid in negotiation of connectivity infrastructure projects.

โ€ข Excellent understanding and proven experience of Project Management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile in a Technology environment.

โ€ข Ability to direct and influence people in a matrix orientated environment and establish working partnerships at a junior and senior organizational level.

โ€ข Change agent with proven ability of implementing large scale organizational, procedural, technology and people related change programs.

Pay and Benefits
