Job description

Citi Investment Management (CIM) is a unit in Citi Wealth that manages assets on a discretionary and advisory basis for Citi Wealth clients. With approximately $27 billion in assets under management (AUM), CIM manages a broad suite of investment strategies across traditional and alternative assets.
The Multi-Asset Class Solutions (MACS) team, with $23 billion in AUM globally, sits within CIM. MACS works closely with Citi Wealth's Chief Investment Office (CIO) team and is responsible for the management of full discretion portfolios for thousands of Citi Wealth clients. The portfolios are highly customized across risk levels, tax sensitivity, level of active risk, traditional and alternative asset classes, and other variables. The end clients range from retail-sized to family office and institutional mandates with >$1 billion in assets.
We believe that MACS will grow meaningfully in the coming years and are seeking a high performing senior portfolio manager to join the team. The candidate will focus on the day-to-day management of MACS portfolios, as well as a variety of investment and client-facing duties.
Responsibilities:
  • Daily management of a select group of MACS portfolios. Includes monitoring asset class exposures relative to target, rebalancing for the latest asset class targets, investing or selling for cash flows, monitoring portfolio implementation and active risk, and corresponding with the sales force on a variety of ad hoc topics.
  • Drive investment performance of all MACS portfolios via a number of dimensions but with a particular focus on third party manager selection.
  • Assist with the continued enhancement of MACS portfolio management tools and processes with the objectives of decreasing latency and maximizing efficiency and scale across MACS.
  • Deliver portfolio reviews to end clients and a variety of updates to the sales team and senior management on the performance and positioning of MACS portfolios.
  • Aid in the continued development of MACS external facing marketing material, performance commentary, and portfolio positioning.
  • Contribute to new business opportunities as a technical expert on asset allocation, manager selection, and the implementation of portfolios.

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in multi-asset class portfolio management. Experience can be with an asset manager, wealth manager, or Outsourced CIO (OCIO).
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment alongside high performing individuals focused on delivering strong investment and commercial outcomes in MACS.
  • Required current US FINRA Registration: SIE, Series 7 and 66 (or Series 63 & 65) within 150 days of starting in the role
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
  • CFA preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship management skills.
  • Experience with clients and prospects.
  • Experience with externally facing marketing materials and content.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of small and large teams.
